Community Guidelines
A call with a stranger is only as good as the two people on it. These guidelines describe the kind of company we expect on Chamet and what happens when somebody falls short.
updated October 1, 2026
01 Treat the other face kindly
Greet them, give them a chance to talk, and if the call is going nowhere, wave and move on with the skip button. Slurs, insults, threats and repeated unwanted messages are off limits, no matter who started it.
02 Stay clothed and lawful
Nudity, sexual behaviour and sexual requests are not allowed on video, voice or text. Leave out violence, illegal activity and anything risky, and keep drugs and weapons out of frame.
03 Adults, and only adults
Every Chamet user must be 18 or over. If the person on screen seems or says they are younger, hang up and report them. Trying to reach minors ends in a permanent ban and may be referred to the police.
04 Nothing for sale, nothing to chase
- No promoting products, services or rival sites.
- No requests for money, gift cards, crypto, diamonds or one-time codes.
- No hurrying someone onto a different app before you have even talked.
- No bots, scripted replies or looped video standing in for a real person.
05 Guard each other's privacy
Never record, screenshot or share a person without asking first and getting a yes. Do not post anyone's private details, and do not push someone to give you theirs.
06 What happens after a report
A reviewer reads each report and chooses between a warning, a temporary limit or a permanent ban, depending on the severity and on any earlier offences. Dodging a ban with a fresh account or connection is treated as a new offence.
07 Filing a report
Hit report during the call, choose the closest category and, if useful, add a line of context. Anything else can go to [email protected], and the safety tips page covers ways to keep calls comfortable.
