Chamet at chamet.chat links two people per conversation by video, voice or text. Running that needs a little information about you, beginning with the guest session created when you first open the site. The complete list follows, in everyday words.

01 The information we hold

Each item below exists because a feature depends on it:

Your account, whether guest or signed in: nickname, any linked sign-in method, preferred language, settings and your confirmed age.
Anything extra you add to a profile, say a picture or a short intro, plus your following and follower lists.
Messages you write on Chamet, both during random matches and afterwards with people you follow.
A log entry per match or call noting the date and time, the mode used and its approximate length.
Your coin or VIP orders and the payment partner's confirmation of each. Card details are processed by that partner alone and are never stored by us.
Reports you file and reports filed against you, with the reviewer's decision.
Technical signals, for instance your IP, browser version, device system and error reports, which help us repair bugs and stop misuse.

02 Calls happen live

Video and audio stream directly between the two people in a call while it is happening. What Chamet keeps is the log entry described earlier plus any evidence attached to a report; the conversation itself is never recorded by us. Your match, however, could grab their own screen, so only show or say what you would not mind being kept.

03 What it is used for

Pairing you with someone new and keeping the connection steady.
Running follows, message history and the Reward Center.
Handling reports, applying the community guidelines and keeping under-18s out.
Completing purchases and sorting out billing questions.
Spotting bugs and learning, in aggregate, which parts of Chamet people actually use.

04 Who can see what

Your matches see your nickname plus anything you decide to share during the chat. Staff and the contractors who host the site, process payments or help with moderation see only the slice their task requires, under confidentiality terms. We do not sell personal data. Information goes to authorities only when a law compels it or a person faces genuine danger.

05 How long things stay

Account details remain for as long as the account does. Messages and call records stay so your history and follow list keep working, and they go when the account is deleted, unless an open report or a legal obligation means we must hold them a while longer. Payment records follow the retention periods set by accounting law.

06 Choices you can make

Switch a match to text whenever you would rather not be on camera.
Change or clear profile details at any moment.
Block someone and the matcher will never pair the two of you again.
Request a copy, a correction or full deletion of your data at [email protected].

07 Over 18 only

Chamet is meant for adults. Accounts that look like they belong to someone younger are removed along with the data connected to them.

08 Cookies and local storage

Small files saved by your browser keep you logged in, hold your settings and tell us how quickly pages load. Wiping them ends a guest session, and any rewards you had not yet claimed may disappear with it.
